The Fleet

The culmination of 8 weeks of junior sailing for those sailing on Narragansett Bay happens at Race Week, the NBYA Junior Olympic Festival that incorporates Club 420s, Optis and Lasers into a three day sailing event. In the Optimist fleet, no competition is lost among these junior sailors age 8-13. The breeze had picked up as wind howled across Conanicut Island to deliver gusts around 15 knots for these sailors in the middle of the East Passage.
